Staff

Renee Gopal founded Prairie Stewardship Network (PSN) in 2007, after having served as executive secretary of the North Dakota Conference of Churches from 1999 through 2006, where she staffed a board of denominational leaders and its various committees and coordinated implementation of the Conference’s actions and programs. Before moving to North Dakota in 1997, Renee worked in Washington, DC as personal assistant to Michael McIntosh, president of the McIntosh Foundation, which focuses on primarily on conservation of the Tongass National Forest in Alaska. Prior to that, she served as administrative assistant to the executive director and program staff of the Pew Charitable Trusts’ Global Stewardship Initiative, a program addressing global population, resource consumption and other environmental concerns. Renee has a B.A. in English literature from the College of Charleston and an M.A. in English Literature from George Washington University.
