Thank you to everyone who participated in the International Climate Stewardship Solutions Conference, June 29 & 30.  We had an outstanding event.

We are deeply appreciative of our guest speakers, who generously shared a depth and range of experience and knowledge not typically found in one place, all within the same time period; the engagement and enthusiasm of participants; and the support of a broad range of sponsors.

In addition to the conference providing perspectives of key countries engaged in addressing climate change and having business and industry discuss the need for action, the sponsorship of the event by a broad group of entities, including business, non-profits, and faith, underscored the relevance of the challenge to all of us.

The conference drew an attendance of 211 people, comprising private citizens, state and local government representatives, students, academics, representatives from the faith, environmental, architectural and agricultural communities, and members of private industry and the business community.  The truly diverse nature of the audience demonstrated the value and need for this type of conference at this moment in time.

Media coverage of the conference was extensive  – stories ran in all the major daily newspapers.  In addition, local television and radio stations and the Associated Press covered the event.  North Dakota Public Radio assembled outstanding coverage of the conference on its website, and included a segment interviewing participants and their reason(s) for attending the conference.

Finally, we would like to thank those who worked with us behind the scenes prior to and during the event.

• All Bismarck Civic Center (BCC) staff involved in helping us execute the on-site details of the conference and for responding promptly to needs that arose.

• Corey Castleman Catering (CCC) for ensuring quality meals and including local foods on the menu. Both BCC and CCC worked closely with us to incorporate sustainable practices into the event.

• Bismarck State College for its generous hospitality in hosting an outdoor reception on its grounds overlooking the Missouri River and dinner at its National Energy Center of Excellence.

We couldn’t have done this without all of you.
