Climate Stewardship Covenants and Pledge

Prairie Climate Stewardship Network

Prairie Climate Stewardship Network (PCSN) invites you to become part of a network supporting climate stewardship. Although our special focus is the faith community, we invite all interested in climate stewardship to participate in this initiative. By coming together and we strengthen our commitment and our efforts.

At present, we have one network going, in the Bismarck-Mandan area. As funding allows, the intention is to form networks in the following communities: Devils Lake, Dickinson, Grand Forks, Fargo, Jamestown, and Minot. PCSN is also interested in working in other communities should there be interest.

Prairie Climate Stewardship Network (PCSN) will:

• Provide the network with information on climate stewardship, initiatives, and upcoming events, including a proposed PSN conference on climate stewardship.
• Connect network participants, if requested, for outreach purposes, to exchange ideas, share challenges and advance constructive solutions.
• Help network participants identify resources and options in their region/area.
• Organize and monitor aggregate purchase of renewable energy certificates for interested families, congregations, churches, and other groups.
• Compile, and develop as needed, educational material tailored to our geography and culture that raises awareness of climate change and solutions.

If you or your community is interested in joining the network, do so by entering one of the following covenants or taking a pledge on climate stewardship. Let us know who you are, and what you are planning to do.

If you have already entered a covenant on climate stewardship and would like to share that with others, please contact PSN at psn@prairiestewardship.org.

We invite all faith traditions to contribute to climate stewardship and to participate in this initiative. Please feel free to make needed changes to the Congregation/Parish Covenant on Climate Stewardship to allow you to join us in our commitment to climate stewardship. Please share with us your covenant.
